Textures of gritty synths and electric instrumentation buzz this record into life. El’ Jistos provides lyrics that are unusual and canny, giving justice to the production while allowing it to shine. The words are brutally honest and unrestrained.
This album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Underwood Studio through a warm and ripe analogue console. The soundscape is reminiscent of a classic French yé-yé pop album. The vocal sound draws inspiration from traditional ‘low res/distorted’ blues recordings.
